Winning is fun!!

I just got back from the Kenmore Needlework show in downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia. Both of my pieces won ribbons!!

I just barely missed getting a blue (first place) ribbon on this one.



I got an honorable mention (yellow), but almost got white (third) on the fairy picture:



The judges noticed some problems with backstitching on that one. My mom (who is a volunteer at the show) told me that they were ooh-ing and ahh-ing at my work, but that they are very picky. They did pass on some good tips for my future projects, though!

I'm definitely going to enter again next year. I have so many things planned. One of my projects is going to take several months (a large Flower Fairy chart).
