A finish and a beginning!

I finished the fourth ornament in the Mary Engelbreit series last night, and I've made some progress on a shoe sampler.

This one took six hours to do...if I do it again, I'm going to use blue fabric to save time! The background alone took three hours.

I actually started it in September, but I got sidetracked. I'm going to finish the border before doing the other shoes, and I'm backstitching as I go along. Usually, I wouldn't do that...

I really don't like Bucilla kits very much. The charts are hard to read sometimes, and the thread colors are so similar that I mix them up.

I've made a change in plans with my cousin's wedding sampler. I found an old Lavender and Lace chart that I'd won years ago. I may as well use it! It's "The Bride"- and it's lovely.
