Finished Fairy!

I finished the Christmas Elf Fairy last night!

She took me almost 31 hours to do- but at least two hours were spent fixing mistakes. I made a lot of little mistakes, especially with the beading.

I barely had enough of the silver crystal beads to finish! And I almost ran out of the color for the wings. Filling in the wings was the worst part of the piece.

I think this is my favorite of everything I've done this year- and I did a lot of stuff.

Now I have to go back to Antique Shoes. I can't stop until it's finished! I have about two more weeks to go- I hope.

She's beautiful, well done. Yet another report about a Mirabilia Fairy kit that doesn't seem to have enough supplies with it. I completely ran out of two colours on my Halloween Fairy and I complained to the company that I bought it from and they have arranged for the manufaturers to send me some more AND they have told the manufacturers that this is now an isolated case and they should get their act sorted out. I mean, it's not a cheap kit is it? x

My supplier threw in an extra skein of the problem thread for Halloween when my dad picked it up (I can't have it or Valentine's Day till Christmas. :p ). She had the same problem. The black thread also runs out for some people, but I have plenty left over from Christmas.

I now have Easter in my stash- I've heard that there are no problems with thread supply for that one.

Yeah, they aren't cheap.
