A very quick finish!

This is "Let's shop for shoes" by Joan Elliot, from A Woman's World in Cross Stitch. It took 12 hours to finish. I replaced the French knots in the border with beads. I think it looks better!

It's a present for my mom.

I'm also doing two small cars for my dad's birthday. I found a book of charts of antique cars- I'm doing two that were made in 1937, because that's Dad's birth year.

Here is the first one:

It took two hours to do! The second car will be right underneath it, then I'll put them in a small frame. I think Dad will like them.

Hooray for simple charts! It's nice to have pieces that I can finish in less than a week. Now I can go back to Purr-fect Harmony and Autumn in My Garden with a fresh mind.
