I've started on the chain border. I like working with the Dinky Dyes thread! The colors are vibrant, and the thread is so soft. I don't think I've ever worked with silks before. I should get this done in another week. Then I can finally get back to work on the Halloween Fairy.
Obviously, I haven't done much work on it this week. In addition to having my nose stuck in the final Harry Potter book, I had a power outage for almost two days. No light, no cross stitching!
Mom just ordered yet another book for my birthday next week:
This will be a useful one, as I am on a real card-making kick these days. Everyone expects a handmade/stitched card from me for birthdays and holidays!
